BECOME WHO YOU ARE

We had lost everything. We were reduced to nothing, We could die the very next minute.

A lesson (of the many) from The Society of the Snow – Netflix

I don’t know if you have watched the movie. If not, here is a plan for the weekend or even tonight 🙂

I Not only watched the movie but have followed up with every single interview and clip I could find from each and every one of the survivors, their families and those of the ones who didn’t make it.

There are incredible lessons to learn from their experience in the Andes such as team work, leadership, hope, motivation, potentiality, you name it.

Quite frankly I can’t summarise all of them here

But there is one in particular that resonated with me.

One about authenticity, connection and radical love.

In the words of Daniel Fernández Strauch: ‘The connection we built amongst ourselves was out of this world.

We had lost everything. We were reduced to nothing, We could die the very next minute.

There was no need to hide behind any masks ( 👈 This is it! )

We were who we were and accepted us warts and all.

This resonated with me because I have been on that journey myself.

A journey to re discover who I was, deep down, who I was meant to be and what I am here to do for me and others.
